Dear Sisters in Christ
Hope you have been keeping well by His grace. I would like to share something I learnt in the past couple of months. How many of you know Psalm 23 by heart? I know most of you will say yes to it. That is one Psalm that was taught to us by our parents, Sunday school teachers and so on when we were kids. We were made to learn verse by verse and then say the whole Psalm without seeing the Bible. Most of us would have got a meal only after we said the Psalm. I am not going to talk to you about how we learnt the Psalm but how we apply and acknowledge it in our day to day lives.
A few things I love about the Psalm is it talks about our God. The comparison of God leading us through peace and quiet, like a shepherd leading us by the still waters. The way he takes care of us and nurtures us.
It also beautifully explains His character that he makes sure we are on the green pastures and always leads us into the good.
Initially the Psalmist describes God and His character but later he says
4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil;For You are with me;Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
I will fear no evil;
